Neighborhood Networks
Neighborhood Networks (NN) collaborates with schools and partners with families to strengthen parenting skills, promote healthy child development, and create supportive, nurturing environments for children.
NN partners with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) and Head Start to support families in participating schools within our region.
Support for You and Your Family
Parents participate in regular home visits where NN partners with your child’s school to help families thrive and succeed through:
- Connecting you with community resources such as education, medical, financial, and transportation that can strengthen and support families.
- Helping you identify and reach your goals.
- Helping your family develop ways to deal with challenges.
- Supporting you on your parenting journey.
- Providing one point of contact for various groups who may be working with your family.
Participation in the Program
Neighborhood Networks is a voluntary home visitation program. Families are nominated to the program by preschool and elementary school partners within Fairfax County. Talk to your school social worker.
“Neighborhood Networks provides parent empowerment and case management support for many of our families. The program honors the parent’s vision for their family and seeks to help them reach their goals for stability and to strengthen parent-child relationships. Neighborhood Networks helps families really become integrated well into their community.” Karen Morris, LCSW, School Social Worker, Woodley Hills ES
